This essential tablet contains the big three macro and micro-minerals, Magnesium, Zinc and Calcium, as well as Phosphorous, Copper, Boron and L-Glutamine for optimal balance and synergistic effect. Combining Magnesium, Zinc and Calcium will contribute to a myriad of essential body systems including the normal function of muscle, the immune system, contribute to healthy bones, joints and teeth as well as reducing tiredness and fatigue.

Magnesium

Magnesium is a macro-mineral, meaning we need large quantities of it thanks to the large number of roles it plays within the body. It is one of 6 macro-minerals, one of which is Calcium. The so-called micro-minerals are needed in smaller quantities but are no less important. Micro-minerals are also referred to as trace minerals, Zinc being a key example.

Magnesium is needed for more than 300 biochemical reactions including nerve function, muscle function, immune response, heart rate, and even bone structure and function.

Zinc

Zinc is combined with Magnesium for various reasons, but especially because of its role in the innate immune response. The innate immune response involves the disease fighting neutrophils and Natural Killer cells.

If for any period of time the body is deficient in Zinc, then these infection fighting cells become deficient or poor functioning. Zinc deficiency also contributes to improper growth and function of T and B cells, also key to a normal immune response.

Zinc is a versatile and important mineral with roles in the normal function of antioxidant enzymes and brain function too. Zinc is most commonly taken to reduce the duration of the common cold and can contribute to optimal testosterone levels.

Calcium

Calcium is a micromineral, meaning it is needed in large amounts in our diet. Predominantly found in dairy products and vegetables, meeting some people’s daily Calcium requirements of up to 1g a day can be challenging. It is for this reason that Calcium often needs to be supplemented via the diet in order to meet demand. We know that Calcium is critical in the maintenance of healthy bones, joints and teeth, however it is also important for maternal and cardiovascular health.
